Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is most well recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy 'Mom.' Calvano grew up in California She was at first interested at competitive gymnastics. Then, she made the decision to follow a career of acting. Her screen debut came in the year 2010 with a segment of CBS series "NCIS". The biographical crime thriller film J Edgar was her big screen debut a year following. Through the seasons, she was able to establish herself among the best performers of the day. She won an award nomination for the Young Artist Award, Best Performance by an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress on a TV Series due to her performance in "NCIS". She was also nominated in 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest actor on Disney XD's comedic series "Kickin' It". Calvano played a major role in "Mom" in the series' first three season and also made numerous appearances during Season four. Calvano's role as a rising star on Mom brought her an award called the Gracie Allen Award, which is given to outstanding female actresses.
