Kellie Martin, an American actor and actress on television and film. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series 'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. Her other roles of note include the lead role in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. The actress began her acting career at seven years old when her Aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin get a part as a guest star on the television show Father Murphy. In the years following the time of her Yale University graduation, she began to concentrate on acting. She was able to secure significant roles on both television and cinema. Martin as well as being an accomplished actress and dancer, is also a skilled ballet photographer. She is a mother of two and the spokesperson of Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing, Martin has worked to raise awareness about the disease.
