Alison Pill

Pill initially appeared in Canadian productions and was a long time before breaking through to its way into the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode of the Canadian show Traders. Pill got a role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Michael Ensign, Michael G. Hagerty, Naren Shankar. The episode was titled "Would, Could, Shoulda". In the immediate aftermath of her work with Picard, Pill appeared in the lead role of the acclaimed 2020 science fiction mini-series Devs (served by digital Double Negative, a VFX firm Double Negative) produced by FX Productions for Hulu, similar to her character in Picard she was in every episode in the series, performing a similar role as the science-fiction character "Katie". The similarities with Picard were not just limited to the similarities in Picard because the primary theme the series was furthermore made clear to focus on the preservation of a conscious in an artificial construct, like the one Data had been preserved and revealed within the Picard Season 1 finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2".
